Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to perform varied cleaning tasks across assigned facilities. You will dust, sanitize, disinfect restrooms, empty trash, and maintain floors and public areas, following safety practices and MSDS guidelines.

Responsibilities include grounds care, food court area upkeep, and ensuring overall room readiness for occupancy. Strong attention to detail and clear communication with teammates are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• High dusting around room using a treated high duster.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning in specified order with germicidal solution.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming with proper technique.
• Grounds care and outdoor area cleaning.
• Public common areas cleaning and glass maintenance.
• Food court cleaning and trash removal.
• Floor sanitizing with germicidal solution.
• Inspecting room and ensuring cleanliness and order.
