Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver home-based therapy in the Cleveland area. You will work directly with patients and caregivers, following an established plan to improve mobility and independence, adapting sessions to patient needs.

Qualified candidates hold an active PTA license in Ohio, have completed an accredited PTA program, and can lift up to 50 pounds as required. Travel between patient homes is expected.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state where you will work.
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Six months or more PTA experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and assist patients up to 50 pounds and travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the treatment plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Teach patients and caregivers exercises and techniques that support progress between visits.
• Deliver care consistent with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice requirements.
