Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, assist patients in improving mobility and independence, and educate families on home programs and device use.

The role requires a PTA license, 6+ months of experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel between patient homes is required. Elara offers a generous benefits package and 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.
