Job summary

Elara Caring seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy services under a supervising PT, helping patients improve mobility and independence. You will educate families, monitor progress, and ensure safe device usage in a home-care environment.

The role requires an unrestricted PTA license, completion of an accredited PTA program, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license or reliable transport is needed to travel between patient homes.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan by the supervising therapist.
• Help patients work toward goals to improve mobility, function and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques.
• Teach safe use of assistive devices to patients and families.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services per physician orders and standards.
