Job summary

Elara Caring in the United States is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to help deliver high-quality home-based care. You will work under a supervising PT to implement treatment plans and support patients toward mobility and independence.

This role requires an unrestricted PTA license in the state of work, PTA program graduation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer comprehensive benefits, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, PTO, and a fleet vehicle program.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines
