Job summary

Elara Caring in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver in-home physical therapy services under a supervising PT. You will work directly with patients and caregivers, following established plans to improve mobility and independence.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted PTA license in the state where you will work.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Six months or more of PTA experience preferred.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and position patients up to 50 pounds; assistance with transfers and mobility.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy services under the treatment plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
Monitor progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to support progress between visits.
Educate patients on safe use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and other prescribed devices.
Deliver care in compliance with physician orders and state requirements.
