Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement plans of care and support patients of all ages under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will educate patients, coordinate care with staff, and document in the EMR.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree as a PTA, BLS certification, and reside in Illinois or nearby. This role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) eligible/license required (IDFPR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts plan of care under PT supervision and documents communications in daily notes.
• Completes documentation per policy (CTSCP67).
• Performs therapy interventions: therapeutic exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy as appropriate.
• Maintains daily documentation and charges in the therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with PT on patient progress and communicates recommendations to referring providers.
