Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to implement care plans and serve as a clinical resource. The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

The PTA will educate patients and caregivers, document care, and coordinate with the PT and physicians to optimize outcomes. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, is BLS certified, and demonstrates strong teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA with licensure/board eligibility as required.
• CPR/BLS certification within required timeframe.
• Board exam completion or progress as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows plan of care; adjust treatment per patient response after communication with PT.
• Document daily notes according to policy and billing requirements.
• Provide aquatic therapy and in-clinic treatment interventions as prescribed.
• Coordinate with PT and referring providers on patient progress.
