Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days as required by AHA.
• Board eligibility and completion of required continuing education for stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the plan of care and documents communications and patient responses.
• Completes daily documentation and charges in the therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with the PT on treatment interventions and progress.
• Communicates with referring providers about patient progress and treatment recommendations.
