Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under the supervision of a physical therapist. Educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and adjust treatment based on patient response with appropriate communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - IL
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam at next available date and complete required CEU for acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements where applicable
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT; coordinates with PT on interventions; communicates progress to referring provider.
