Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care under the supervision of a physical therapist for patients of all ages. This role involves educating patients and families, coordinating with the PT team, and documenting care in the EMR.

Responsibilities include following the treatment plan, adjusting interventions as needed, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation to support patient progress and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent.
• Must be licensed or eligible to practice as PTA in at least one state.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows plan of care and documents discussions and progress.
• Completes daily documentation in the therapy EMR and coordinates with PT.
