Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The PTA will educate patients and families, implement the plan of care, adjust treatment based on patient response, and document daily progress in the EMR.

The role includes providing therapies such as therapeutic exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy, while coordinating with PTs and referring providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Licensed PTA in IL per state regulations.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care staff.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response.
• Produces documentation per policy and daily notes.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements.
• Assists with aquatic therapy, gait and balance training, and electrical stimulation.
• Coordinates with PT on patient interventions and communicates progress to referring providers.
