Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care and support patients of all ages. The PTA serves as a clinical resource for staff and students and collaborates with the PT to adjust treatments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – IL license/IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family and other staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts the plan of care in coordination with the PT.
• Documents care and communication per policy CTSCP67.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip/Knee program requirements.
• Administers therapy interventions including exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
• Performs daily therapy documentation and EMR charges.
• Coordinates with PT and referring providers on patient progress.
