Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care established by the physical therapist, treating patients of all ages in a clinical setting. This role emphasizes education for patients and families and collaboration with the care team.

The TA must hold an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant and be licensed as a PTA. A sign-on bonus is available, with ongoing education requirements to meet program standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care and Hip/Knee program standards.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documented communication.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement requirements.
