Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, supporting the plan of care with hands-on and educational interventions. You will work under supervision to adjust treatment based on patient response, document progress, and collaborate with the PT and care team to optimize outcomes.

The role includes training family and staff in rehabilitation techniques, providing aquatic therapy as needed, and ensuring compliance with policy and quality

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers on care plans and education.
• Follows and adjusts the plan of care based on patient response and documented communication.
• Documentation in EMR per policy and program requirements.
• Provide aquatic therapy and electrotherapy as ordered.
• Coordinate with PT and communicate progress with referring providers.
