Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.

Responsibilities include carrying out treatment plans, providing therapy exercises, assisting with gait and transfers, documenting progress, and maintaining a safe treatment area. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license or certification as applicable.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with the healthcare team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and other assigned interventions.
• Assist patients with walking, transfers, balance, and mobility activities.
• Perform range-of-motion and strengthening exercises.
• Monitor patient response and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed.
• Assist with gait training and appropriate assistive devices.
• Document treatments and patient progress accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
