Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence through individualized therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding therapeutic exercises and gait training, helping with transfers, monitoring responses, and educating patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year PTA experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions.
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and functional activities.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and home programs.
• Assist with therapeutic equipment and adaptive devices.
• Maintain accurate treatment documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education activities.
