Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for on-site responsibilities in Illinois. The PTA will educate patients and caregivers, follow and adjust the plan of care with the evaluating therapist, and document daily progress in the therapy EMR.

Responsibilities include therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy. This role offers a sign-on bonus: $1,500 for new grads, $2,500 for 1+ years of experience, plus

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam next available date

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response
• Completes daily documentation in therapy EMR and coordinates with PT
• Provides therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy
