Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will participate in implementing individualized treatment plans across outpatient, inpatient, home health and other clinical settings.

Ideal candidates hold an associate PTA degree, a current PTA license, and familiarity with EMR systems. Previous experience in multiple environments and a focus on patient safety are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from PTA program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification preferred or required according to facility policy.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, SNF, rehabilitation, home health, or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Assist patients to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Document treatment sessions, progress, goals, and observations per policy.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to HIPAA and infection control policies.
