Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care under a PT, serving patients of all ages. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required for PTA role.
• Active PTA license via IDFPR or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adapts treatment based on patient response with therapist communication.
• Completes daily therapy documentation and billing in the EMR system.
• Provides treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy as applicable.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment and communicates progress to the referring provider.
