Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement care plans and serve as a clinical resource for patients of all ages. The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, following the PT plan of care, and documenting in the EMR. The PTA will provide therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, aquatic therapy, and electrical stimulation as prescribed by the therapist.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed PTA with state-specific requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Board Eligible/complete board exam on next date.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follow the plan of care and adjust treatment with PT communication and documentation.
• Document therapies and charges in the EMR per policy.
• Coordinate with PT on patient treatment interventions and progress.
• Perform aquatic therapy and various modalities as ordered.
