Job summary

Optum's Caretenders division seeks a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts to deliver treatment and education in home health settings. You will work under a supervising PT to follow the plan of care and support patients' well-being.

The role requires completing state PT guidelines, coordinating with the care team, and educating patients and families. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified new hires.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing physical therapy in home care and the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members within the PT assistant scope.
