Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, via Caretenders, a part of the LHC Group network under the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home therapy per a supervising PT’s plan of care. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified new hires and a full, flexible weekday schedule with comprehensive benefits is offered.

The role includes teaching exercises, monitoring progress, and coordinating with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient well-being.

Qualifications

Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
Current CPR certification.
Current driver’s license and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transportation.
Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client demographics.
Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Follow state laws governing home care PT; implement plan of care as defined by supervising PT.
Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and transfers.
Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the healthcare team.
Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within scope.
