Job summary

Optum Caretenders, part of the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver in-home therapy under a PT plan of care. You will educate patients and families, guide exercise routines, and coordinate care with the health team to enhance patient well-being.

The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified new hires, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible full-time weekday schedule to support health, well-being, and work-life balance. Weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Following all state laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhering to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and other health team members.
• Instructs patient and family on therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
