Job summary

Optum is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Boston area to perform treatments and provide exercise instruction aimed at improving patient well-being under a supervising Physical Therapist. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified new hires.

Responsibilities include following treatment plans, conducting patient education, and coordinating with the healthcare team to support optimal outcomes in home care. A weekend rotation is required, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, or access to dependable transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of client background.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and treatment plan defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and mobility.
• Observe and report patient response and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and others on therapy within PTA scope.
