Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care developed by the physical therapist for patients of all ages. The PTA will act as a clinical resource for staff and students and contribute to a high standard of patient education and care.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, documenting communications, and performing therapies such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy where

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications.
• Performs and documents therapy interventions as trained, including exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Completes daily documentation in the therapy EMR and coordinates with the PT on patient treatment.
