SpartanNash in Hastings, MI, is seeking a Part-time Store Operations Associate to supervise store activities in the absence of upper management and support daily retail operations. You will manage cashier duties, assist customers, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and stock levels across the store.

The role emphasizes adherence to policies, accurate timekeeping, and a strong customer service focus. This position is on-site with typical retail conditions in a discount grocery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented.

Responsabilités

• Monitor associate’s adherence to company policies.
• Run cashier register and courtesy counter desk and handle customer concerns efficiently.
• Understand and be familiar with store layout, safety and emergency equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• In absence of the Store Director or department manager, responsible for time clock maintenance.
• May close store: lock doors, turn off lights, arm store, etc.
• Knowledge of product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked store.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments.
