Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help people with disabilities learn, work and engage in their communities. Positions are Fridays and Saturdays from 4 PM to 12 AM, with $15 per hour starting pay and a $1 shift premium on weekends.

You’ll provide caregiver assistance with daily activities, support medication administration, meals, personal hygiene, and community involvement, working in person-supported homes in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Administer medications as directed and monitor health status.
• Support individuals in the community and with routine routines.
• Collaborate with clinical staff on behavioral and therapeutic plans to enhance quality of life.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
