Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate care in person-supported homes. You will assist with daily activities, meals, hygiene, and medication administration, partnering with clinical staff to support therapeutic plans.

Based in our community-based homes, DSPs help individuals learn, work, and engage in activities, while training is provided to ensure success and a positive impact on lives every day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance and basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Administer and assist with medications as needed.
• Support individuals in the community and during activities.
• Assist with therapeutic and behavioral plans in collaboration with clinical staff.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
