Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate DSPs to help people with disabilities live more independently in their communities. You will assist with daily activities, meal prep, personal hygiene and medication administration in person at supported homes.

We offer a starting wage of $15 per hour, tenure pay scale, annual performance bonus, shift premium on weekends, health and disability insurance, and retirement and PTO benefits. Bring the right attitude and we will train you for success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in community involvement by accompanying them in the community.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance quality of life for those we support.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
