Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work and play in their communities. You will provide daily living support, assist with meals, personal care, and transportation as needed.

Based in person-supported homes, you’ll work with clinical staff on therapeutic plans, promote independence, and engage individuals in meaningful activities. We welcome all applicants with a positive attitude and are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Support individuals in community involvement and activities.
• Assist with medication administration and participate in behavior plans with clinical staff.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
