Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Sturbridge, MA is seeking a Part-Time Sales Manager for nights and weekends to lead a high-performing store team. You will coach staff, drive sales, and ensure strong customer experiences across POS, BOPIS, and in-store programs.

Responsibilities include SOP compliance, customer-focused selling, and overseeing events such as balloons, loyalty participation, and frame shop services. Prior retail leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems, supporting smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons business, birthday party operations, and other in-store programs and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and repeat visits.
• Champion MCC/Extend services, ensuring protection plans are understood and adopted.
• Drive sales and omni-channel service in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences.
• Ensure efficient BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations with customer consultations and coordination with the frame shop.
• Train and develop team via onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
• Other duties as assigned.
