Job summary

ETSS is seeking a part-time Resettlement Case-Aide in Columbus, OH. You will coordinate with Case Manager on pre-arrival activities, assist refugees with airport reception, housing, public benefits, and daily records.

You will also schedule appointments, guide clients to community resources, and ensure services meet ORR guidelines. Candidate should communicate clearly in English, follow federal and state laws, and maintain respectful relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Case Manager on pre-arrival activities, housing, and sponsor communications.
  • Conduct airport reception and home safety orientation for arriving refugees.
  • Complete applications for Social Security cards, public benefits, and registrations on time.
  • Document visits and all case activities as required by guidelines.
  • Provide transportation for refugee services as needed and compliant with safety laws.
  • Work with Case Manager and Program Manager to align services with ORR policies.
  • Help clients access community services and complete referrals and forms.
  • Create, file, close, and maintain client records daily.
  • Identify appropriate community resources that are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
  • Schedule mail, email, and appointments for families as needed.
  • Support other key program areas as needed
  • Other duties to ensure smooth operation of the program/department

Job Details: Job Location: East Prince of Peace - Columbus, OH, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00Hourly, Resettlement Case-Aide

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Case Manager on all pre-arrival case activities, including housing arrangements and communications with US Ties and co-sponsors.
  • Conduct an initial airport reception and home safety orientation for arriving refugees.
  • Complete applications for Social Security cards, public benefits and other applicable registrations within the required time periods.
  • Document all visits, case activity and all efforts to meet refugee needs as outlined by Operational Guidance.
  • Provide transportation for all Refugee services as required or needed, in compliance with applicable child safety laws.
  • Work directly with the case management team and Program Manager to ensure that services provided to immigrant are in accordance with expectations, policies and procedures determined by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
  • Assist clients to access culturally relevant community services, providing referrals and assistance with completing applications and referral forms.
  • Assist with creating, filing, closing and overall daily maintenance of client records.
  • Identify appropriate community resources, ensuring they are culturally and linguistically appropriate
  • Send mail, email and schedule appointments for families, as needed, on behalf of the Case Manager.
  • Support in other key areas of the program, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department
