Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Abilene, TX seeks a Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) to drive product promotion within a defined territory. You will exceed goals by delivering value through differentiated products and services, reporting to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

The role emphasizes strategic promotion, market analysis, budget management, and building advocacy channels while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. Residency in the territory is required.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Candidates not meeting the work experience requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role.
• Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management experience will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
• Maintain current product, disease, and market reimbursement knowledge.
• Manage budgets, time, and resource allocation within territory.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills.
