Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager to join our high-performance sales team in Utah. You will exceed sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated neuroscience products and services, reporting to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities include executing sales strategies, collaborating with district leadership, and managing budgets, travel, and compliance.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Associates considered if work experience is lacking.
• Atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
• Reimbursement experience preferred.
• Existing relationships with psychiatrists or CMHC in territory preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
• Self-starter with goal-oriented/results-driven attitude.
• Willingness to travel, including overnights.
• Must reside within territory geography.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape and market reimbursement.
• Determine and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time) within the territory.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Fulfill all reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting.
• Maintain full compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities as needed.
• Proceed with ad-hoc projects as required.
