Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Psychiatric Technician I - PRN to join our Russellton, PA location. The role works with adult residents in the Residential Program, supporting treatment plan goals and assisting with the treatment planning process while maintaining safety and welfare.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 6 months of related mental health experience, knowledge of severe mental illness and recovery principles, a valid driver's license, and OMHSAS clearances.

• Minimum 6 months paid or volunteer experience in a related mental health field required.
• Knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• All Clearances required by OMHSAS.

Responsibilities

• The Psychiatric Technician I position supports safety and welfare of residents and assists with treatment planning and goals.
• Provides direct care support within the Residential Program and helps residents with daily activities.
• Contributes to growth opportunities within Merakey programs through hands-on experience.

Position Details

The Psychiatric Technician I position works with and adheres to the safety and welfare of all adult residents in the Residential Program including mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health. The individual participates in carrying out residents’ treatment plan goals and assisting with the treatment planning process, as well as providing support with direct care responsibilities.
