Psychiatric Technician-PRN

Overview

At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our 16‑bed personal care home in Bethlehem, PA.

Position Details

This is a PRN position. Primary shifts are on weekends and third-shifts (11 pm‑7 am). The role requires flexibility to cover these hours.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and therapeutic treatments, monitor for potential side effects and report
• Provide care in a manner that considers the patient’s rights, safety, comfort and the overall therapeutic environment
• Observe, document and report resident behavior
• Monitor and document weights, blood pressure, pulse and respiration per MD orders and monthly for all residents
• Communicate with co‑workers and supervisors in a timely manner that affects patient care or well‑being
• Fill in resident charts
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff members, understand, and implement Merakey policies and procedures
• Order refills of medications
• Act as lead staff when the Administrator or Asst. Administrator is not available
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Administrator

Pay

$18.25 per hour.
