Job summary

SUN Behavioral Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN/LVN supervision. You will monitor vital signs, observe patient behavior, and assist with safety and de-escalation as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CPR and de-escalation certification, with CNA certification preferred. Prior healthcare experience is a plus, and a collaborative team approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN/LVN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and patient behavior; notify RN of changes.
• Assist with restraints and seclusion under RN direction following CPI techniques.
• Record observations and participate in treatment team meetings.
• Maintain safety, perform safety checks, and support quality improvement activities.
