Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse with expertise in coordinating primary and/or specialty care in collaboration with physicians. The role requires board-certified or eligible NP credentials, Ohio RN licensure, and prescriptive authority where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in Ohio.
• National Certification as a nurse practitioner.
• Current certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by Ohio Board of Nursing. ACLS or PALS may be required based upon practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services.
• Practice with a variety of specialty-based populations including neonatal, pediatric, and adult
• Provides care in settings requiring complex monitoring and therapies with high-acuity needs
• Participates in quality monitoring through chart reviews and treatment plan assessments for FPPE/OPPE and Joint Commission requirements
• Role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and acute/chronic care management
