Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Nurse with RN licensure in Ohio and NP certification to provide advanced nursing care across various settings. The role involves collaborating with physicians, performing health assessments, and developing treatment plans in alignment with hospital policies.

Responsibilities include participating in rounds, handling discharge planning, and serving as a resource for staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in Ohio; NP certification.
• Certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by Ohio BON; ACLS/PALS may be required.
• Must obtain credentialing as active medical staff member and privileges.
• Current Health Care Provider BLS training required.
• If lacking MSN/DNP or prescribe cert, must actively pursue.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
• Practice with neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
• Operate in high-acuity care with continuous monitoring and therapies.
• Participate in quality monitoring and ORC-compliant evaluations.
• Contribute to discharge planning and staff/residents preceptorship.
