Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Division (PSD) Sales Manager in Elkridge, MD. You will lead a team of technical sales professionals, drive pipeline execution, and manage a P&L while coordinating with Caterpillar and internal teams to hit growth targets.

The role requires proven sales leadership, engineering background, and willingness to travel. Competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits are offered as part of a total compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum five years in high-level sales management experience preferred.
• Thorough product knowledge with ability to market equipment, negotiate terms and close deals.
• Strong business acumen, including budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting and managing P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of technical sales professionals in pipeline management and revenue growth.
• Drive productivity and monitor performance of the sales team.
• Develop annual business plans and budgets aligned with corporate goals.
• Review commissions and ensure alignment with sales targets and ethical standards.
• Coordinate with legal on PO/contract reviews and risk management.
• Partner with Marketing to execute targeted campaigns and promotions.
• Travel as needed to manage outside sales and support engineering personnel.
