Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking an IMIT Provincial Manager, Registration and Switchboard Services to lead provincial information management, data integrity, patient booking and scheduling, and switchboard operations. You will drive transformation and governance across NS Health with travel to multiple locations.

The role requires CHIMA registration, significant leadership in health information management, and experience with privacy legislation.

Qualifications

• Current CHIMA registration with NS Health IMAA is required.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership in health information management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent related to health information management.
• Experience implementing health information management strategies in a large organization.
• Knowledge of privacy legislation (FOIPOP, PIPEDA) and related acts.
• CHIMA/CPHIMS or PMP certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of operational plans to meet goals and financial targets.
• Maintain provincial oversight while guiding information management teams.
• Assist clinical programs with information management requests for data and quality reviews.
• Ensure information management governance across policies, processes, and tools.
• Lead staff across the province; travel to multiple locations as required.
• Monitor quality assurance and compliance with NS Health standards.
• Address inquiries related to information management standards and legislation.
