Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2–5 years of experience in a medical office including scheduling and administrative support.
Experience with scheduling, customer service, and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Schedule and/or reschedule patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests, surgeries, hospital admissions and related appointments.
Enter scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record as needed.
Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations; may register patients.
May manage the patient outcome tool and coordinate schedule versions.
Arrange interpreter services for patients as needed.
Provide department reception, patient check-in, and telephone coverage.
