Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. seeks a Prototype Build Technician for hands-on assembly, debugging, and verification of prototype battery pack systems in Lake Orion, MI. The role supports engineering, TPM, and ongoing process improvements.

You will assemble complex prototype mechanical and electrical components, help maintain TPM, and participate in PFMEA reviews. Travel to other facilities may be required; strong safety and quality focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of college studies in related field or equivalent experience in electrification assembly line/high voltage/electrical component handling/battery manufacturing.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing or mechanic experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Able to work in a flexible team environment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and verify prototype battery pack systems and related components.
• Work with engineering to meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Troubleshoot and report prototyping issues to AME, Production Engineering, and Launch Manager.
