Job summary

InDepth Engineering Solutions LLC in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Prototype Build Engineer to lead engine and battery prototype builds. You will develop build plans, create comprehensive build books, specify torque values, and manage the build BOM with accurate part data.

You will ensure parts are stocked, capture weights and dimensions, and coordinate post-build evaluations with suppliers while working with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to meet project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills required.
• Effective communication across levels and departments is essential.
• Experience with engine and/or battery components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop build plans based on powertrain and vehicle specs.
• Create build books with process flow, part numbers, torque specs, and assembly instructions.
• Manage the Build BOM and ensure correct parts are stocked.
• Capture part weights and dimensions for records.
• Coordinate post-build evaluations with suppliers.
