Job summary

IBA is hiring an Installation Engineer - Electromechanical in Boston, MA to operate and maintain critical Proton Therapy System components, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance. The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical and mechanical systems and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Physics or related field or Bachelor-equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in electrical/mechanical system repair and maintenance of large integrated systems.
• Experience with Cyclotrons, X-Ray systems, PLCs, and related diagnostic equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deploy proton therapy system (PTS) for varied customer needs, including QA, testing, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software problems on PTS equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and corrective maintenance as needed.
• Conduct system inspections and clearly communicate status to leadership and site teams.
• Support hardware/software testing and participate in site-related validation activities.
• Train and mentor Technicians and new colleagues; adhere to QA and FDA regulations.
