Job summary

IBA Proton Therapy in Boston region seeks a technically skilled professional to operate and maintain the Proton Therapy System (PTS). You will troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine preventive maintenance, conduct system inspections, and communicate status to leadership while supporting hardware and software testing.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical/mechanical system repair, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Physics or other applicable field, or an Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years' experience in electrical/mechanical system repair and maintenance of large integrated systems.
• Experience with Proton Therapy or related high-tech equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to work in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Proton Therapy System (PTS) equipment and perform troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Support hardware and software testing, including unit and integration testing.
• Communicate system status to leadership and site stakeholders.
• Train and mentor Technicians and new colleagues.
• Work rotating shifts and occasional weekends as required.
