Job summary

MSD is seeking a ProteinXI Technical Sales Specialist in the Rockville, MD area to drive revenue growth across both existing MSD accounts and new BioPharma/CRO opportunities. You will own territory strategy, build an independent pipeline, and lead complex sales motions with Field Application Scientists and Inside Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical or hybrid sales within life sciences.
• Experience selling platforms/workflows involving NGS, multi-omics, proteomics, or related discovery tools preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Field Application Scientists and Inside Sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver ProteinXI revenue targets and territory planning.
• Develop and execute territory strategies across existing MSD accounts and new BioPharma/CRO accounts.
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline aligned to PXI discovery/ translational research.
• Lead deal strategy, pricing discussions, and negotiations with Sales Management and Inside Sales.
• Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting in Salesforce.
• Serve as the technical-commercial lead from first engagement through close.
• Drive complex, multi-stakeholder sales activities across discovery scientists and procurement.
• Define engagement models and coordinate field resources for opportunities.
• Establish trusted relationships with discovery and translational research leaders.
• Support Early Access commercial execution with pricing and packaging input.
