Job summary

MSD is seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager in Rockville, MD to sell MSD’s products and services to laboratory scientists, directors, principal investigators, medical directors, and executives. You will develop revenue through leads, prospect calls, and ongoing rapport with customers.

You will meet sales targets, implement strategy in defined accounts, negotiate contracts, and expand new business while maintaining strong customer relationships. Travel up to 10% and CRM experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• 1 year of B2B sales experience with proven sales record.
• 1 year of laboratory experience or aptitude for lab techniques (ELISA/immunoassays).
• Experience using CRM database (Salesforce desirable).

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales targets for all products and develop tactical plans to maximize revenues.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to maintain existing business and expand new business.
• Build strong relationships with customers through consultative selling.
• Plan daily pre-call activities to increase sales effectiveness.
• Coordinate sales actions, product demonstrations, and RFP responses.
• Support marketing efforts and customer training; troubleshoot issues; attend sales training.
