Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC is seeking a field technician to install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems across transmission and distribution sites. The role involves diagnosing failures, interpreting schematics, and coordinating repairs with multiple teams.

You will travel domestically and internationally up to 25–75% and work with equipment from Doble, Omicron, Megger and Fluke. Strong safety practices, documentation, and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical experience with a high school diploma or higher
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–75%
• Experience with test equipment and protective relaying/testing standards
• Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams
• U.S. work authorization and safety compliance

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems
• Analyze test results and interpret electrical diagrams
• Commission new relay/metering installations and coordinate repairs
• Safely operate test equipment in energized environments
• Perform acceptance, maintenance, and testing per NETA standards
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with engineers and clients
